How to use this tool
A percentage of an amount is amount × percent ÷ 100. A discounted price is amount × (1 − percent ÷ 100). Percentage change is (new − original) ÷ original × 100. For change calculations the original amount must be positive. A fall of 20% needs a rise of 25% to return to the starting value.
